When taking part in canisports your dog will ideally need to learn certain cues. These include:


Hike - Go

Gee - Right

Haw - Left

Steady - Slow down

Whoa - Stop

On By - Ignore a distraction

Line Out - walk forward to make line tight

Straight - go straight ahead (at a junction)

Line Out - Walk forward until tug line tightens

Gee (Haw) Over - Move over to the right (left) of the track

Gee (Haw) Round - Turn 180 degrees to the right (left)





We use only positive reinforcement to teach the dogs, such as clicker training and lure and reward. No verbal or physical punishment of dogs will be tolerated and we fully endorse the aims and ethics of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors.
